Episode 6: Changing The Format of my Podcast
Here's a pre-show clip from our latest recording of my podcast. I think it's important to provide this transparent insight into our thought process of what we want to do with the podcast going forward, with your input, and hopefully to resonate more with people.
We’re trying something different. After a lot of thought, we’re shifting the way we share these stories. Instead of packing everything into one long episode, we’re breaking things up—shorter, a more focused conversation in each roughly 15-20 minute episode. That should make it easier to follow and, more importantly, easier to act on.
Kevin has created and posted many clips and shorts, so basically we'll keep doing that instead of packing them into longer episodes.
Kevin and I talk through this change—why we’re doing it, what we’ve learned from past episodes, and how to keep making an impact without losing sight of the people who need help the most. We're both very passionate about this podcast.
We also get into the challenge of asking for donations in a way that feels right—because the need for what I do never stops, but no one wants to feel like they’re just being hit up for money all the time.
Please let me know what you think of the new format! You can have your say in the comments, send me an email, reach out on Social Media, or reply to my newsletter.
